False lily of the valley:
Most deciduous trees and perennials have leafed out, and there are a lot of different greens, looking very lush in places. We have our privacy back in the back yard, and soon the front yard, too.

Green shady area next to pond. (^) The oxalis, vancouvaria, false solomon’s seal, false lily of the valley, trilliums and bleeding heart all duke it out here.
Flowers in bloom: Camas, Cut-leafed daisy, Wild Blue Flax, Showy Jacob’s Ladder, Penstemons rupicola and davidsonii, Lewisias, Red Columbine, Large-leaved Geum, Red flowering current, Harsh Paintbrush (hispula), chocolate lillies. Soon to bloom: Honeysuckle Lonicera ciliosa, Delphiniums, Penstemons -Tolmei, Attenuatus, glaucus, Confertus, Ovatum, Deustus, and Venustus, Geum rivale, Blue and white columbines, Hooker’s and Nodding Onions
Still with lot of newly planted (finally) meadow due to clearing, mostly the areas where the two willow trees were and along our new front yard steps. These areas are filled with seedlings and transplants, as well as some new plants from the sale. There are a few new Irises, such as yellow irises (Chrysophylla and Innominata) and Iris Bractea. So far the mole has only attaced two plants, a fern and an iris.
Hosted a Saturday tour for the Washington Native Plant Society, while the weather held up. The yard looks great, but the plants are a couple of weeks behind due to the cold weather. Even the ducks are still visiting, late for them.
