Now finally just peeping out of the ground, a few Brodiaea and other early sprouting perennials. These include purple and white Shooting stars (Dodecatheon pulchellum and Dodecatheon hendersonii), Camassia cusickii, Woodland Penstemon and Goatsbeard (below: full bloom versions of first three).
Still no freezing weather or snow, only light frosts. Moles still quiescent, though. This time last year the yard had snow ( winter 2010 below)
